The event began with the intervention of José Antonio Mena, Mayor of Benahavís, who pointed out that “for the municipality, the celebration of the 7th edition of an event like ChefsForChildren, which combines solidarity and gastronomy, has been a very rewarding challenge. Our town has a long tradition in hospitality training, thanks to its School of Hospitality, through which renowned chefs have passed. Therefore, it is a privilege that the most important chefs of the gastronomic scene of our country help us to promote healthy eating habits among our schoolchildren, without forgetting the solidarity objective of the event, which on this occasion allows us to collaborate with DiabetesCERO in its work to support children with type 1 diabetes and their families”.
