José Carlos García presents a new gastronomic proposal for this season

– Chef José Carlos García proposes two tasting menus for the fall/winter 2024 season.

Malaga, October 4, 2024.- José Carlos García presents two tasting menus for this season with the best local products and some special nods to the classics of his professional career. The Malaga-born chef is passionate about the local pantry and is committed to zero kilometer in his cuisine, based on traditional Andalusian recipes with a touch of the avant-garde.

For this autumn-winter, José Carlos García proposes a shorter menu “Productos de estación y proximidad” (159,50 €), with five appetizers, five dishes and two desserts; with a choice of wine pairing for 105 €, and another slightly more extensive menu “José Carlos García 2024” (235,50 €), which includes seven appetizers, seven dishes and two desserts, with a choice of a higher wine pairing (138 €). Both proposals share the appetizers: sunflower seed polvorón, anchovy with pipirrana and mango, crispy with zurrapa, chorizo pig and scallop tartlet with citrus; and also the four main courses: shrimp with tiger’s milk, cauliflower with egg yolk and tarragon, langoustines with foie gras and mushrooms, fish in white sauce and veal cheek in red wine. In addition, the more extensive menu is complemented by such exquisite morsels as fritters with caviar, eel flower, alistado with bell pepper and ponzu sauce, and lamb with sweet potato. Dessert includes two dishes: dates with lime and basil; and churros, and the diner can choose to finish the tasting menu with a selection of Malaga cheeses (14.90 €).
