ChefsForChildren’s top chefs teach healthy eating in a fun way to children with serious illnesses in Bilbao

Bilbao, February 6, 2023.
– The first action of ChefsForChildren in 2023, in collaboration with Fundación Pequeño Deseo, was held at Eneko’s restaurant.
Chef Eneko Atxa (Azurmendi) has been the host and who, almost by magic during this Monday, has turned his facilities in Larrabetzu into a cooking school suitable for this children’s gastronomic meeting.
And together with Eneko Atxa, other great cooking stars such as Martín Berasategui (Martín Berasategui), Diego Guerrero (Dstage), David Yárnoz (Molino de Urdániz), Martina and Carlota Puigvert (Les Cols), José Carlos García (Restaurante José Carlos García) and Diego Gallegos (Sollo) have also shown their heart of solidarity to carry out this activity.

Under the slogan “Eating healthy is fun”, Eneko’s restaurant was filled with colorful balloons so that the little sick children could fulfill their desire to enjoy an afternoon of smiles with the Michelin Star chefs after school.
The activity began with a snack of mini-snacks from Joselito and a hot chocolate from Café Dromedario, and once the children had regained their strength, they got ready to cook with their aprons and chef’s hats.
All the ingredients and cooking utensils were previously prepared by the chefs to prepare a recipe for a chocolate cake with red fruits.
The little ones carefully followed the chefs’ instructions and mixed the food with dexterity.
Their little hands moved non-stop to perfectly place the ingredients and complete their dish.

Chef Eneko Atxa, as host of this endearing activity with the children, expresses that “sharing love is the best ingredient. Let’s cook a better future!”
And in this beautiful way, the objective of ChefsForChildren is once again fulfilled, which is to transmit to children the importance of eating healthy.
