LAALVAROTECA celebrates 10 years of creative cooking

– Álvaro Ávila’s culinary skills have evolved over the decade to become a restaurant with creative cuisine.
– LAALVAROTECA was born with a rogue and insolent philosophy, although now the basis of traditional gastronomy prevails.

Málaga, September 20, 2023– For 10 years, the incessant restlessness of Álvaro Ávila has been latent in LAALVAROTECA, where his culinary capacity has evolved throughout this decade to become a restaurant of creative cuisine, in which the flavors of quality products stand out, mainly from the sea and game.
LAALVAROTECA was born with a rogue and insolent philosophy, although now the traditional base of a cuisine that is the result of the personality and intuition of a cook who prints constancy, technique and many hours of work in all his stews and elaborations.
In the words of its chef and owner, “we are still a small place, on the outskirts of Malaga, in the neighborhood of Cruz del Humilladero, in a humble place, as were our beginnings with a menu of pinchos, dedicated to satisfy a clientele that wanted to enjoy rich, powerful dishes and at the same time with fun touches”.
Over the years, both Álvaro and the restaurant have prospered without losing one iota of the identity of a fun and courageous cuisine.
A constant progress, thanks to a team that has always followed my thoughts and impatience to draw attention and that my restaurant appeared on a radar far from the whole gastronomic galaxy of Malaga,” says Avila, “Today, he has forgotten the show to make a kitchen increasingly more background, with nods to its origins, Malaga and Jaén, where the product and purity prevail.
10th ANNIVERSARY MENU To celebrate this decade of intense work at LAALVAROTECA, the chef from Malaga has created a special menu, 10th Anniversary (80 €), which includes traditional starters such as olives AOVE, or game sausage from the Sierra de Cazorla, Isigny DOP Extra butter (Normandy) and Chinese bread, to continue with snacks such as concha fina with manteca colorá, acorn-fed ham croquette, black rice toast, smoked eel and ali oli.

The main courses begin with red tuna and oscietra caviar, shrimp, aguachile and guacamole and Andalusian stew dim sum and its broth, which give way to spinach esparragás, oyster dashi consommé, egg and salicornia, game lentils and seasonal mushrooms and rice with quail wings.

To finish the menu, the dining room team shows the magnificent LAALVAROTECA cheese trolley, where the customer can choose the cheeses of their choice, just before moving on to the two desserts, chocolate in textures, and citrus, sweet and rum.

Marbella, October 7, 2020. – In Boho Club, chef Diego del Río has created a lunch menu with the favorite dishes of Boho Restaurant customers.
A Mediterranean lunch, based on the product of proximity and with an agile service, which will facilitate the quick tasting, for all those who have little time or who have to return to the office after lunch.
From now on, Boho Restaurant offers a menu in which we can choose the three-course menu, in which we select a starter, a main course and the dessert we like among several options, or opt for the weekly dish or a vegan alternative.
Boho Restaurant is run by the Malaga-born chef Diego del Río, a passionate of Andalusian cuisine, to which he applies the technique learned in his experience in the kitchen and combines it with the ingredients and flavors he discovers in his travels around the world.
Diners will find succulent and balanced dishes and an extensive wine cellar.
During this autumn, the kitchen of Boho Club will remain open all day, starting in the morning, we can have breakfast, with an extensive menu of natural juices, pastries, assorted toasts, bowl with fruit and yogurt, coffee and tea, which will be enjoyed both in the dining room and on the terrace with lush vegetation. And of course, we continue with the tasting menu and our usual menu for dinners, which due to the current social situation, we will reserve from early hours, to comply with the schedules established in the current regulations of the hospitality industry.
Without forgetting that the cocktail waiters of the elegant bar of Boho Bar prepare the best handmade cocktails and a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails for those who prefer them that way.
They are always ready to mix the classics or suggest some of their latest creations.
The sunset with a cocktail in hand turns any evening into a wonderful alternative on our terrace.
