Benahavís organizes with the Mancomunidad Costa del Sol a gastro trip to highlight the gastronomy of the locality
Benahavís, November 26, 2024.- In a unique and colorful Malaga, stretched between the mountains and the sea, Benahavís is one of the white villages of typical Andalusian flavor, with its narrow white streets leading to sunny squares. A privileged place, between carpets of golf, houses and gardens of legend, where luxury developments are carefully integrated into its picturesque landscape, surrounded by the peaks of the Sierra de las Nieves and the Ronda mountains. A few kilometers from the coast of Marbella and Estepona, from its mountains you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Spanish coast and much of North Africa.
In terms of gastronomy, for those who enjoy good food, Benahavís has the culinary qualities of a mountain village, close to the coast. Therefore, the many restaurants in the town include in its menu the typical delicacies of the mountains, such as pork and game products, varied meats among which we find rabbit, suckling pig, veal or venison; along with traditional seafood dishes, such as fish and seafood zarzuela. It also offers a complete international cuisine, as well as a pleasant tapas in the bars and bodeguitas that abound in its streets and squares.
The mayor of Benahavís, José Antonio Mena, emphasizes that: “The gastronomic richness of Benahavís, offers the traveler a multitude of options, all of them supported by seasonal and local products and seasoned with the talent and passion of our restaurateurs. For this council, it is very important to publicize this culinary reality of our town and support our restaurants, which are the flagship of the gastronomic image of Benahavís”.
