La Zambra celebrates an exclusive day of bluefin tuna tuna ronqueo with tasting dinner and live music

Mijas, May 28th, 2026 – La Zambra Resort, the exclusive resort will celebrate next June 12th a singular gastronomic experience around the red tuna of almadraba, one of the most appreciated products of the Mediterranean cuisine. The event will bring together tradition, gastronomy and entertainment and will take place on the splendid terrace surrounded by gardens of the hotel complex in Mijas.
This special evening will start at 18:00 hours, with a live ronqueo, the ancestral artisanal butchering of bluefin tuna, now one of the great gastronomic spectacles of southern Spain. Attendees will be able to discover this traditional technique up close while enjoying a welcome cocktail, wine selection and sashimi tasting, all accompanied by a live DJ session.
The day will continue at 8:30 p.m. with a tasting dinner, which includes a five-course menu made from selected cuts of bluefin tuna. A proposal created to highlight the versatility and excellence of this prized fish, while live music will reinforce the playful and Mediterranean atmosphere that characterizes La Zambra.
For this occasion, the resort has designed different assistance modalities. The “ronqueo” experience will be priced at 60 euros and will include the live show, welcome cocktail, wine and sashimi tasting. The five-course tasting menu will be available for 85 euros, or 120 euros for the option with wine pairing. A children’s menu will also be available for 35 euros.
