JOSÉ CARLOS GARCÍA REINTERPRETS HIS GREATEST HITS IN A SUMMER TO REMEMBER

This summer, every bite is a tribute to 14 years of cooking at Pier One.

Malaga, June 20, 2025 – The Malaga chef José Carlos García proposes a very special summer at his restaurant in the Port of Malaga (one Michelin Star and two Repsol Suns). Almost 14 years after opening its doors in the emblematic Muelle Uno, the chef presents a summer season full of emotion, flavor and memories.

His proposal for this summer brings back some of the most acclaimed dishes of his career, reinterpreted with a modern touch. “We want our customers to relive special moments through the memory of taste,” says the chef. Among them are creations such as porra with smoked eel or updated versions of the classic ajo blanco, always prepared with local and seasonal products.

Two menus to celebrate cooking and memory

For this season, José Carlos García has designed two tasting menus that allow diners to choose between an experience more linked to the great milestones of his career or a proposal focused on local products. The JCG 2025 Menu, priced at 235.50 € per person (VAT included), brings together some of the most representative products and recipes of the chef’s professional career. It starts with a polvorón of sunflower seeds and a delicate paella, to continue with elaborations such as anchovies with pipirrana and mango, a crispy with zurrapa and a chorizo pig. The menu progresses with dishes such as caviar and mushroom fritter, scallop tartlet with citrus, shrimp with tiger’s milk, or sardines with truncheon and mustard. There are also classics such as cauliflower with egg yolk and tarragon, langoustine with foie gras and mushrooms, carabinero with peppers and ponzu, tender veal with celery balls or pigeon with lentil caviar. The sweet section is made up of proposals such as peach with olive, egg yolk with yogurt and almonds, and a selection of sweets to accompany the after-dinner meal. The optional pairing is priced at €138, and can also be completed with a selection of artisan cheeses (€14.90).
