The Le Cordon Bleu Madrid school opens the doors of its classrooms to us and the teachers prepare everything we need to make two healthy recipes.

Madrid, February 10, 2026. – ChefsForChildren is very excited to organize this action in collaboration with FEDER. Under the slogan “Eating healthy is fun” the chefs Mario Sandoval (Coque**), Iván Cerdeño (Iván Cerdeño-Cigarral del Ángel**), Óscar Velasco (VelascoAbellá*), Rafa Soler (Audrey’s*), Andrés Torres (Casa Nova*), Carlos Maldonado (Raices*), Julián Mármol (Yugo The Búnker*), Andrea Tumbarello (Don Giovanni) have shown their solidary heart to carry out didactic and entertaining workshops.

Le Cordon Bleu Madrid is filled with colorful balloons so that children with diabetes can enjoy an afternoon of smiles with the renowned chefs after school. The activity begins with a snack for the children, with Joselito sandwiches and ice cream from Casa del Gelato, and once everyone has recovered their strength, they get ready to cook. Already wearing their aprons and chef’s hats, the children went in groups to two classrooms, where both the ingredients and the utensils were previously prepared by the school’s teachers to prepare two healthy recipes: meatballs in tomato sauce with baked potato and a panacota with pear and banana compote. The little ones followed with curiosity the instructions of the cooks to combine the food with skill to prepare both dishes.

To transmit the values of healthy gastronomy and solidarity to children, ChefsForChildren brings together more than 60 Michelin-starred chefs in an initiative that in this eighth edition collaborates with FEDER, the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases, a non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life of people with rare diseases and their families. It represents more than 400 associations throughout Spain, promoting research, inclusion and access to resources and treatments. Its work gives a voice to those who live with these pathologies and promotes solidarity to build a fairer and more equitable society.

Juan Carrión, President of FEDER and its Foundation said: “ChefsForChildren is a very exciting project for us. Firstly, because it allows us to continue making visible and giving a voice to people who live with a rare disease and secondly, because it offers many of our children the opportunity to enjoy something as beautiful as sharing, creating and having fun in the kitchen. Activities like this remind us that, beyond the disease, these are children who want to live experiences, learn and feel part of a group. This is an example of inclusion that helps us to continue advancing towards a society that is empathetic and committed to our group, helping us to build a future full of hope for all these children”.

As host of this endearing activity with the children, the director of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, Rosario Barrios , expresses that: “Being part of the ChefsForChildren project gives us the opportunity to give a greater meaning to the word cooking and allows us to be a loudspeaker for realities that need support and visibility. The children who participate in the workshops live an unforgettable experience, learning that cooking can be healthy and fun. We are proud to collaborate with FEDER and support their work”.

ChefsForChildren will bring together the best chefs in our country on April 20 at Anantara Villa Padierna.
