Malaga, December 17, 2025. – Frutas y Verduras Eladio, a leading food distribution company in Andalusia, begins a new strategic stage marked by modernization, professionalization and strengthening of its operations. The objective is to move forward with firm steps to consolidate its position as one of the leading fruit and vegetable companies in Spain, without losing the essence that has guided its growth for almost four decades.
With more than 35 years of experience, the company closed 2024 with a turnover of more than 31 million euros, more than 160,000 deliveries per year and a workforce that reaches 150 employees in high season. Its activity includes distribution to the hotel and catering industry, hotels and large companies throughout the country, maintaining a philosophy based on freshness, product excellence and customer proximity.
New corporate impetus: a family business that evolves without losing its roots
History and recent milestones
The origin of Frutas y Verduras Eladio dates back to the 1980s, when Juan Rueda started a family fruit and vegetable distribution business. The second generation took over, and in the early 2000’s Eladio Rueda re-founded the company with its current identity, officially registered in 2007.
During the present 2025, the company expanded its headquarters in Mercamálaga, an operation that has allowed it to increase from 1,600 to 6,000 square meters of surface area dedicated to storage and product preparation, thus reinforcing the logistics work of the company. The company currently moves around 15 million kilos per year at national level.
